The radiopharmaceutical laboratory is equipped with a cyclotron able to produce Fluorine-18, Carbon-11, Nitrogen-15 and Oxygen-15, shielded Hot Cells, automated modules specially designed for the synthesis of PET radiotracers and state-of-the-art quality control equipment, allowing the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals under a GMP environment.
A wide range of radiotracers ([18F]FDG, [18F]FMISO, [11C]Methionine, [11C]Acetate, [11C]PK11195, [11C]Raclopride, [11C]Flumazenil, [11C]Choline, [15O]H2O, [13C]NH3) are already available in the IAT/CRC Centre d'imatge Molecular, it being also possible to adapt procedures for the manufacture of already known radiotracers or design automatic new procedures of synthesis and formulation. |
